School Students

Ages 6- 10

Say Goodbye to Online Games, Hello to Creating Them!

Farewell to endless hours of playing online games and apps – our elementary students are stepping into the role of creators! Armed with coding skills acquired in class, they’ll be crafting their very own games and applications, channeling their creativity into tangible digital experiences.

Introducing Kids to Coding Through Scratch

Meet Scratch, the coding language built to help kids learn coding from the ground up. Our program is tailored for elementary kids aged 8-10, kick starting their coding journey with this user-friendly drag-and-drop platform. As they create exciting games, young learners grasp essential coding basics, fostering a love for continuous learning and exploration.

Transitioning from Blocks to Real-World Code

In Xpert Level I, students advance beyond Scratch’s block-based coding and venture into the realm of text-based coding languages. By the program’s conclusion, they’ll possess the proficiency to code interactive games and craft websites using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS – essential skills for real-world programming.

Questions? We Are Here to Help.

Easy answers to some common questions.

The first course is Animation and Games with Scratch in the core track. Upon successful completion of the first course, students progress through our structured and progressive curriculum in the order that they are listed on the curriculum page. See the placement testing page if your student has significant coding experience and would like to start at a higher level in the core track.

Most 8-10 year old students should start with the Animation and Games with Scratch in the core track. If you’re 10, you may choose the secondary school core track if you are confident about text-based programming and your typing speed is 25 wpm with 90% accuracy. After you complete the online enrollment, take a typing test then email a screenshot of your results to [email protected] to be placed in the middle school core track.

If your child has good prior coding experience in Scratch, then contact us to skip to the next course in the core track.
